Because Logos School adheres to the classical model and the three stages of the Trivium - grammar, logic, and rhetoric - we use many different materials that we have carefully selected over the past 25+ years. We don’t sell everything we use. Instead, we offer items on our website our teachers have written themselves and use in their classrooms. We don’t use any one off-the-shelf curriculum—we purchase some materials from publishers and others we have written ourselves. As an example, we use Saxon Math up through 8th Grade, and then for 9th-10th we use University of Chicago Math from Scott Foresman. Additionally, we have our own spelling program and reading comprehension guides. Our entire Third Grade Curriculum Guide is here on our website and includes a list of publishers we use. It should serve as a good snapshot for you to become more familiar with our curriculum and what we use. Additionally, you’ll find a one page Adobe PDF of our Secondary Curriculum here. For more details about what materials we use, we offer by-grade or by-subject curriculum guides.
Listed below are the approximate grades that our curriculum materials correspond to. You may need to make adjustments for your class or family.
