The Crazy Things

The crazy things a man will do for love

Have number far too great for me to count.

He’ll stop at almost nothing till he prove

His longing is of no small amount.

He’ll lay his coat cross puddles filled with mud,

He’ll hold the door and carry all her things.

He’ll think up things no sane man ever could,

Like poems or songs, but forget he cannot sing.

It is a fact of life, he’ll play the fool,

His friends will laugh at him, but he won’t care.

‘Tis work for love, and love will take its toll.

Although no toll is more than he can bear.

Perhaps he may seem foolish, such a man,

But ladies, trust me, find him if you can.
